In Los Angeles, a Spanish Colonial estate with an excellent ownership history has hit the market
Perched on a hill in the Los Feliz neighborhood, the 3,284-square-foot abode is currently asking $4.8 million.
Previous owners of the 2510 Chislehurst Place complex include, from 2011 to 2013, “Don’t Worry Darling” director and actress Olivia Wilde — and Brian Henson, son of “Muppets” creator Jim Henson.
Built in 1929, roughly 90% of the property’s original details remain today, according to Patricia Ruben of Sotheby’s International Realty, who shares the listing with colleague Alan Melkonyan, Mansion Global first reported.
The current owner is Jeff Boutelle, CEO of vitamin and supplement company Pharmavite, owner of Nature Made. Boutelle bought the mansion for $3.04 million in 2017 from designer Jon Buscemi, a cousin of actor Steve Buscemi, according to Mansion Global.
The home is entered through a grand rotunda and is currently spread across four bedrooms, three full baths and one half bath — all set on 21 acres.
There is a library with a monogrammed fireplace, a sitting room fitted with a Juliet balcony, a home cinema with an original bar and a recently upgraded kitchen with two ovens and a bespoke banquette.
Highlights include hand-painted Malibu tiles, multiple winding wrought-iron staircases, vaulted ceilings, curved walls, exposed wood beams and stained and leaded glass windows.Â
Three of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and one offers a walk-in closet.Â
Outside, there are various alfresco dining areas, including a deck just off the kitchen, a salt waterfall, gravel paths, tiered foliage and a garage.Â
Overall, the address is defined by its bright white walls and Spanish tiled roof.
From the upper level there are sweeping views of downtown Los Angeles and the surrounding greenery.
