I wish I knew before I started my health trip

When I first decided to “get well” I thought it meant I had salads every day at the gym five times a week, never touching dessert again. Spoiler Alarm: It didn’t take that long. There were no big goals, high expectations or real instructions for my health trip.

Over time, many attempts and errors, I have learned some powerful lessons that have changed not only my habits but also my thoughts. So, if you are thinking of starting your own journey (or you already feel stuck halfway through), here’s what I want to know before I start**. Perhaps it will help you embrace the overlap of the overlay and the real permanent well. —

1. You don’t have to do everything at the same time** I started trying to change everything *, my diet, my training routine, my sleep schedule, my mindset, hydration, stress levels… in a week. >

**Lesson: **Small. Select one or two * that you need to select and make them into a habit before adding them. Health is a marathon, not a sprint. —

2. It’s not bad if you slip ** If you work out or eat pizza, you won’t make a mistake. I beat myself up every bad day.

Lessons:**Diet or a day does not define travel. Progress is not linear, self-competition is part of the process. —

3. Mental health is just as important as physical health** At first I focused only on physical, movement, calories and weight. But my stress, my feelings, and my neglect of sleep should immediately think of me.

Lesson:**True Health includes *mind*. Don’t ignore calm, boundaries, emotional wells. They are not particularly important. —

4. “You don’t need to get rest or eat** I thought I had to burn calories before I could enjoy my meal or get some rest after doing enough. This idea was toxic and not sustainable.

Lesson:** Your body deserves food and rest *everyday* not only if you feel you deserve it.

5. Health looks different to everyone** I had thought it took me too long to compare myself to people online and I had to think she was healthy. But health is not *unified.

Lesson: **Body, focus on *You*You* Needs,*You* Goals. Something that works for someone else may not work for you, and that’s fine. —

6. Fast correction will not work in the long term** I lost some quick plans and detoxification. Certainly, the scale moved for a week. Then I burned out, got it back and felt sick.

**Lesson:**Sustainable changes go beyond extreme plans every time. Slow progress = permanent consequences.

7. It’s important to enjoy your trip** For a long time I treated my health like a punishment for being forced to train by eating and eating the boring meals I had hated. Finally I stopped.

**Lesson:**You must like your lifestyle. Choose the meals you enjoy. Move in a pleasant way. Do what you can continue as it’s fun as well as the results. —

8. Support makes a big difference** I felt that attempting to do it alone was isolated. As soon as I found someone like someone who shared my values, everything felt easy.

*Lessons:**Whether it’s friends, online community, or trainers, they stay motivated and remind them that they’re not alone. —

9. Progress is more than scale** Success was measured after the number. When it didn’t move, I felt that even if my energy, sleep and mood improved, nothing worked.

Lesson: **Celebrate* Non-pure victory*: sharp skin, feel good, improve flatulence, strong training sessions, increase self-confidence. These are true, powerful signs of progress. —

10. You will never regret taking care of yourself** Even if you find it difficult. Even if the outcome was slow. It was always worth it, even if I wanted to give up to choose my health.

**Lessons:**Your health is an investment, not a task. Every step you take care of yourself is a step towards a better life.

Final Thought: It’s never too late to start (or start head-on)** No matter where you are, whether you’re just thinking about getting healthy or whether you’ve been there for years or not, you do it more than you think.

* Travel is personal. It’s incomplete. And it’s yours. A small catch. He’s very curious. Be friendly with you. Continue – Build something that takes time.
